Yes! 100% of your qualified (out-of-pocket) donation is considered a charitable donation. Donation receipts are issued each time you fund your account.
When you deposit funds into your account, a processing fee of 2.2% + $.30 for each transaction via Mastercard, Visa, and Discover does apply. American Express fees are 3.5% per transaction. For ACH bank transfers (electronic debits from your bank account), the fee is 0.8% of the transaction amount, capped at $5 maximum, making this the most cost-effective option for larger contributions. For donations via wire transfer, a flat fee of $16.00 applies. For donations via check, a minimum donation of $1,000 is required.
Unlike many national providers that charge ongoing annual fees, EarthShare applies a one-time fee when funds are deposited. This means simply funding your DAF account is also helping to build a more just and sustainable future. We charge a one-time fee on each deposit into your account—with no annual account administration fees. Rates start at 2% and decline as your giving grows, reaching as low as 0.15% for deposits above $10 million.
Yes—transfers are simple and can be done anytime. Simply select the DAFpay option when funding your EarthShare DAF account or reach out to us at (800) 875-3863 or individuals@earthshare.org for additional assistance.
We encourage all DAF account holders to grant at least 20% of your annual donated fund balance each year, and 100% of your donation within 5 years of receiving a charitable donation receipt from EarthShare.
