While wildfires do have a natural, ecological purpose, the mega fires we see today are a direct result of human-made climate change and are negatively impacting the health and wellbeing of people and the environment alike.
From dangerous air pollution due to fine particulates in smoke to mass ecosystem destruction and freshwater contamination, the environment—and humans as a result—are struggling.
