At EarthShare, we believe that philanthropy shouldn’t be difficult. It shouldn’t require visiting multiple nonprofit websites to make separate donations and hunting around for your receipts when it comes time to file your taxes. The EarthShare Giving Platform allows you to make donations to all of your favorite charities in one place, including our network of more than 500 verified local, regional, and national environmental nonprofits. As long as a nonprofit is a registered 501(3)(b) with the IRS, they are available to give to.* And you can make these gifts using your very own Donor Advised Fund (DAF), which comes free with your $25 EarthShare Annual Membership.
What is a DAF?
A DAF is a charitable investment account that provides important financial benefits to you, the user, while enabling you to support the nonprofits and charitable organizations that are most important to you. You fund your DAF account using either a credit card or by connecting to your bank account. This money is then immediately available for a tax deduction even if the funds haven’t been designated for a specific charity (yet). From there, you can designate your funds to any charity you desire, and the EarthShare Giving Platform will keep track of your donations, your preferred charities, the issue areas you love to support, and more!

What Has Changed?
The new edition of the EarthShare Giving Platform includes a new user interface with streamlined features to make finding the charities you love easier than ever before. At a glance, you can see your most recent activities, your account balance, and your total donations to date.
We’ve also improved the search functionality so you can easily narrow down who you want to give to. Search by environmental issue area if that’s what inspires you or use the search bar to find nonprofits in your state or zip code!
