Anna Saunders joined EarthShare in September 2023 as Accounting Manager. She brings a tremendous background of knowledge and experience as a strategic accounting professional. She served for 10 years as the Controller of the DC Restaurant Group managing accounting, payroll, and operations for multiple restaurants. She led and implemented sustainable business solutions in a rapidly growing environment, organizing and controlling complex processes as well as analyzing financial information, policies, and compliance. She regularly delivered insights and metrics to leadership to reduce costs, improve project performance, and increase productivity and profitability.

More recently, Anna worked as Payroll Manager and Accounts Receivable Manager at Mom’s Organic Market, overseeing payroll for 1300+ employees in six states and processing accounts receivable for their multiple locations. She also served in a contract role as a project accountant providing guidance, system organization, and execution for a startup company called NanoXSolar. Anna has been searching to find a mission driven non-profit that is involved in environmental issues . . . and she definitely found that with EarthShare! 

Anna lives in the Washington, DC, area with her husband, daughter and two cats. She likes to spend free time surrounding herself with culture and nature. Anna has a deep passion for art and theater. She is an outdoor enthusiast and loves to recharge by hiking, kayaking, and skiing.
