Chris Griffiths has been working in philanthropy and the NGO sector for the last 26 years. In 2012, he designed and managed the launch of the Food and Farm Communications Fund (now Wildseeds Fund) and provided oversight through several years of grantmaking and strategic development of the Fund. Chris chaired the Fund’s Steering Committee for 12 years.

Over the last 16 years, he has worked closely with community foundations and donor advised funds advising on a number of philanthropic partnerships and funder initiatives for GRACE Communications Foundation.

Prior to this work, Chris spent ten years structuring financing for conservation acquisitions at The Nature Conservancy, with several years in the organization’s international division. In the Caribbean program, he led the stakeholder roll out of a multi-year geospatial database project created for countries to assess conservation targets and aid planning and decision making throughout the region. He also directed the Belize program office and worked closely with corporate landholders, local NGOs, the government of Belize, and USAID securing financing and negotiating transactions for conservation targets in the country.
