Kalman Stein
Kal Stein has been President and CEO of EarthShare since its inception in 1989. During that time EarthShare has raised more than $150 million in donations; the number of national benefiting member charities has risen from 18 to 70+; and the EarthShare network has grown to include 15 state affiliates and chapters representing more than 400 local and national member charities in 21 states.
Under Mr. Stein's watch, EarthShare has successfully partnered with dozens of major corporations and government employers, enabling more than eight million employees nationwide to easily support environmental and conservation causes they care about. Thanks to a partnership with the Advertising Council that Mr. Stein helped establish, EarthShare received more than $650 million in donated media support for its historic and award-winning public service advertising campaigns.
Mr. Stein is a founder of the Charities @ Work coalition. He chaired the National Combined Federal Campaign Committee from 2010-2012. Mr. Stein holds a B.A. and M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
