Planned Giving

It can be gratifying to know that a portion of your property will be put to good use after you no longer need it. This can include a gift from your financial assets, property, and / or naming EarthShare as a beneficiary of your IRA or qualified retirement plan. There are no limits on the amount you can bequeath to charity. Some individuals leave as little as $50 in their Will, while others leave their entire estates - all free of estate taxes. EarthShare encourages you to seek assistance from your financial advisor, CPA, or attorney to determine the best assets to use with respect to your overall financial and tax situation.

Giving to EarthShare Through Your IRA or Retirement Plan

The gift of an IRA or qualified retirement plan allows you to control your money during your lifetime. This type of charitable gift doesn't require you to change your will. You may name EarthShare as the beneficiary of your IRA or qualified retirement plan by completing a new beneficiary form, or you may name several beneficiaries for one retirement asset. In addition to knowing that you're helping build a healthier world, your gift of these assets will not be taxed if they are paid to a charity as beneficiary.
