Ameriprise Receives EarthShare Partner Award

Company awarded for excellence in employee engagement & giving back.

It's not always easy to coordinate a nationwide effort to raise money for charity, train and motivate a team of "Care Captains," AND make a personal giving appeal to each and every employee.

And yet, EarthShare corporate partner Ameriprise Financial does it year after year and has one of the best workplace giving participation rates of any company in the nation!

More than 70 percent of the firm’s corporate employees made a pledge during the 2010 campaign alone, and the company's generous dollar for dollar match provided an additional base of support. That's why this past June there was a unanimous decision to present the EarthShare National Campaign Partner Award for Excellence to Ameriprise for their 2010 Annual Employee Giving Campaign. The award was presented by EarthShare Midwest Regional Director Darren Blankenship and accepted by Tiffany Calderon, Senior Manager of Community Relations at Ameriprise. During our six years of partnership, Ameriprise and its employees and financial advisors have donated more than $700,000 through EarthShare in support of our environmental and conservation member charities.

EarthShare instituted its annual National Campaign Partner Award to recognize excellence and generosity in employee workplace giving. Nominations received from the field are reviewed by a task force and then recommended to our Board of Directors at our Annual Meeting.

Ameriprise kicked off its 2011 Annual Giving Campaign on October 3. All of us at EarthShare thank them for their past support, and wish them luck for another successful year!
