The Wilderness Society, one of the nation’s leading conservation organizations, seeks an experienced, energetic and creative Senior Vice President for Development and Membership to lead its sophisticated fundraising, membership and corporate relations enterprise. Reporting directly to the President, this executive will also work to define and implement a clear communication and marketing strategy to reach current and prospective donors; accelerate the commitment of funds from the organization’s most significant donors; aggressively work to expand membership; and provide strategic and motivational guidance to the staff and members of the Governing Council. The Senior Vice President will oversee a development staff of roughly 32, and will work to ensure that the mission and programs of The Wilderness Society are met with substantial philanthropic support.

Green Corps was founding in 1992 by U.S. Public Interest Research Group (U.S. PIRG), the Federation of State PIRGs, as the Field School for Environmental Organizing. The mission of Green Corps is to train organizers, provide field support for today's critical environmental campaigns, and graduate activists who possess the skills, temperament, and commitment needed to fight and win tomorrow's environmental battles. The assistant organizing director will work closely with the organizing director to develop and implement Green Corps' organizer training curriculum and manage grassroots campaigns.
