According to the National Recycling Coalition, recycling is one of the most successful environmental endeavors in our nation’s history. About half of all Americans now have curbside collection programs, which, in addition to drop-off centers, help keep roughly 33 percent of solid waste out of landfills.
You can help keep the progress rolling on November 15, the 11th annual America Recycles Day. Learn how recycling works, take the recycling pledge, play an interactive game with kids, and get involved in one of the myriad America Recycles Day events around the country.Together we’re better—so let’s all do our part on November 15 and every day to reduce, reuse and recycle!
